Description We are a small Bed & Breakfast in the quiet North Cornwall village of St Mabyn. Approximately 7 miles from Bodmin and 6 miles from Wadebridge.We have a 3 star rating from Quality in Britain.We have one double room, and one family room with one double bed & bunk beds, (please note that the bunk beds are only suitable for children). There is a radio alarm clock, hair drier, tea and coffee and hand basin in both of the bedrooms.We have off street parking for 3 cars.The local pub is within walking distance and serves very good meals at reasonable prices.
We are centrally situated for beaches or moors. Horse riding, golf and fishing are all near by. Access to the Camel Trail is approximately 1 mile away.The Camel Trail offers traffic free cycling and walking between Bodmin and Padstow on the north coast or to Poley's Bridge on Bodmin Moor. As Cornwall is bordered on three sides by coastline there is no lack of beaches. Polzeath is probably the nearest beach to St Mabyn, about 20 minutes by car.Port Isaac is a charming picturesque old fishing port.You may be more interested in water sports, like surfing, water-skiing, wind surfing or fishing. There is plenty of opportunity to do all of these things. The Eden Project is approximately 40 minutes away by car, depending on traffic. If you like steam engines visit the Bodmin and Wenford Steam Railway. You could combine this with a visit to Lanhydrock House N.T. Lanhydrock has 49 rooms on view and the gardens are famous for their magnolias, azaleas and rhododendrons, and there are miles of woodland walks for you to enjoy. There are many other houses and gardens in Cornwall for you to enjoy. Pencarrow House (approximately 3miles from St Mabyn), Restormel Castle, The lost gardens of Heligan, to name but a few.
For the children: - Newquay Zoo, Porfell Animal Land near St Austell. A Shire horse farm near Wadebridge. A donkey sanctuary (approx. 3 miles from St Mabyn). These are just some of the many places to visit in this beautiful county of Cornwall
