Description
Sleeping 18 Deepdale Granary Group Hostel is the perfect base for a group visit to Norfolk, whatever your interest in this ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’*.
The area is famous for it’s nature and bird reserves, especially Titchwell and Holkham. The village church, with it’s Norman Font and Saxon Roundtower, is part of a chain of ancient churches along the coastline, with many other fascinating stately homes and historical buildings close by. Admiral Lord Nelson was born and learnt to sail in the area.
The hostel offers two dorms of 6, a dorm of 4 and a twin room, giving you sleeping room flexibility. Those staying need to bring sleeping bags or duvets and their towels, all other bedding is supplied. (Duvets can be hired) Downstairs there is a fully equipped kitchen and large common room, perfect for socialising, relaxing or working.
Deepdale Granary Group Hostel was built in the 17th Century, and converted 15 years ago into a group hostel. Groups that have used us in the past include family parties, bird watching clubs, historical interest, scout and art groups.
Many groups find they need extra space to run activities, so we can offer you Marsh Barn or other areas of the farm. Have a look around the website and then let us know of your requirements and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
Groups larger than 18 may overflow into both Deepdale Stables and Deepdale Camping, however they will not be able to take more than 12 of the beds in Deepdale Stables. Due to the age and style of Deepdale Granary it has been impossible to adapt it for wheel chair access. We are improving many of the other disabled facilities and two of the dorms in Deepdale Stables are wheel chair friendly. We are an environmentally friendly group hostel.
