Description
Lundy - the unique island experience.. Lundy lies in the Bristol Channel about 11 miles from the coast of North Devon. Three miles long and half a mile wide, this granite outcrop rises 400 feet above sea level and is a place of outstanding natural beauty. There are an extraordinary range of buildings in which to stay, including a thirteenth century castle, a late Georgian gentleman's residence, a lighthouse and a Fisherman's Chalet. From Mid March until the end of October, the Island's own passenger and supply ship MS Oldenburg carries visitors from Bideford or Ilfracombe. Winter breaks are also available from November to March, via our helicopter service operating from Hartland Point. In the hubbub of the modern world it is a place apart, peaceful and unspoiled.
